HISTORY:
Carter Associates, Inc. is one of Florida's oldest and most respected consulting engineering and land surveying firms.  In 1911, founder Robert D. Carter set up camp just outside present-day Vero Beach, Florida to begin a section-line survey and canal drainage program that changed 55,000 acres of marsh into saleable land.  The company that bears his name has remained located on the Treasure Coast for more than 95 years.

Major projects by Carter Associates include laying out State Road 60 in the 1920's, assisting in the construction of many of the Treasure Coast's original barrier-island bridges; the surveying and layout of the city of Vero Beach starting in 1914; and other major public and private projects.

Carter Associate's credentials are unique in the history of Indian River and surrounding counties; no other engineering and surveying firm has the advantage of its more that eight decades of experience and knowledge of the Treasure Coast.
